Q1
What have you started lately that you wish you’d done sooner?

Learning other languages. I was taught French and Latin in school. Wasn't very good at French - dropped it as soon as I left. Latin isnt exactly conversational. I’ve been learning Spanish for around 2 years, and am thinking about taking another pass at French. Will live with the Latin I have :)

Q2
What’s a boundry you set in this decade that changed everything?

I’ve stopped being Miss Fix It. I’m level headed, very practical, especially in a crisis. But that doesnt mean I always need to swoop in to try fix every problem or crisis in my orbit. There are lessons to be learned and journeys to be enriched. I now let that happen a lot more often. Who am I to interrupt someones growth path or the opportunity to learn a different approach?

Q3
Creative brain or logical brain?

Logical. Wish I could say creative. Really do. I need a lot of support in that area. From how to dress to choosing furniture. I still cant apply makeup well!

Q4
When do you feel most powerful these days?

The ability to draw on years of experience - whether that’s work, life or relationships to help me make decisions. I’ve seen and experienced a lot. That’s like your own navigational filter, I second guess myself less. 'Been there, done that' is a solid foundation when it comes to finding a way forward.

Q5
What’s a myth about ageing you’re happy to dispel?

That getting older is a depressing downhill slide.

Q6
Whats your current signature look?

Remember what I said about not being creative?? Blouse or classic shirt, jeans or trousers, flat shoes or trainers, minimal make up. My hair changes fairly frequently, up, down, braids. I’m one of those people who thought Steve Jobs wearing the same uniform every day to save on thinking time made total sense.

Q7
How would you describe your diet??

Always been a healthy eater. I don’t really enjoy cooking which helps, though I do have a good palate. Rarely do takeaways. Cook fom scratch. Big on protein, don’t do many carbs in the evenings. I am a total chocolate fiend - but I have a tight grip on it. Working with nutritionists does that to you. :)

Q8
Me time - what does that look like for you?

Alone time and quiet. I’m an introvert at heart - too much time around people and my light steadily dims. Being outside, near water, trees, big expansive skies. Or quiet room - time to think. That replenishes my energy, sorts thoughts and sparks ideas.

Q9
What daily non negotiable keeps your enegy and joy high?

Time outside. Natural light. Fresh air.

Q10
What do you do to keep active?

Weighted walks, kettlebell workouts, body weight exercises. I have a few apps I use to access classes, keep mixing it up so I don’t get bored

Q11
What are you unapologetically done with?

People pleasing. Wasted years thinking it was an effective way to progress/develop. Am done with it.

Q12
What have you enjoyed learning lately?

I’ve got a Paris trip coming up in the autumn and in the planning of that I’ve been learning a lot more about the city than I knew before. I enjoy history and archtecture, way too much I want to do now. Suspect this education will take a few years!

Q13
If you could send a 10 second voice note to your younger self, what would it say??

Find someone you admire, study them, work for them or someone like them. Learn from them.

Q14
Media - watch, read or listen?

I listen more often than not, I like to exercise my imagination. Books, factual and fiction, podcasts, lectures.

Q15
Piece of advice you’re happy you took?

If you’re pleasant to deal with people are always going to take your call. Its stood me in good stead.
